Caring
for a Custom-Framed Heirloom
- Spray
glass cleaner onto a soft cloth – never directly onto glass
or Acrylite®.
- Use
a soft cloth to dust Acrylite surfaces and custom frame finishes.
Paper towels may scratch delicate surfaces.
- Examine
back paper dust covers for small tears through which damaging insects
and dust particles may enter.
- Support
picture wire on two wall hooks to distribute stress.
- Choose
proper hanging hardware, according to weight of the framed piece
and composition of wall material.
- Hang
custom framed artwork away from:
-
Heat sources (fireplaces, radiators, space heaters, etc.)
-
Ultraviolet light sources (sunlight, direct fluorescent lighting)
-
Outside walls (due to changing humidity)
Acrylite®

“Life
is no brief candle for me. It is a sort of splendid torch which
I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as
brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.”
-- George Bernard Shaw, playwright |
